About the Role
We are hiring a behavioral health clinician to join our Southeast Asian Community Advocacy Program (SEACAP) from Merced Lao Family Community, Inc (MLFC).
As a behavioral health clinician, you will build a strong relationship with but not limited to the Southeast Asian community. While you work with clients, you will implement treatment and intervention plans to provide tools for the Southeast Asian community in Merced County. You will see your clients become well-informed, healthy, self-sufficient, and active members of the Central Valley community.
Job Description
• Provide assessments and treatment plans for clients.
• Facilitate group and individual therapy and/or rehab services.
• Meet with clients and schedule appointments for follow-up services.
• Outreach and work with the Southeast Asian and the Merced County community.
• Create and deliver workshops related to behavioral health.
• Attend mandatory monthly staff meetings and Merced County Behavioral Health meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or the Program Director.
• Maintain accurate and timely required documentation, records, and reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual reports), as outlined by agency policies and procedures, to the Executive Director/Program Director.
Qualifications
Master of Social Work degree and experience with health or mental health care management.
Bilingual in Hmong and English.
Exhibit a professional attitude and appearance.
Demonstrate linguistic and cultural competency
Outreach and work with the Southeast Asian community.
Display excellent organizational skills, computer proficiency, and strong written, and verbal communication skills.
