COVID-19 Mitigation Project
Helping community members access trusted COVID-19 information, testing, preventive resources, and culturally responsive support.

The COVID-19 Mitigation Project helped reduce the spread of COVID-19 by connecting community members with testing, health education, and individualized assistance. From January 2023 through March 2025, Merced Lao Family provided accessible resources and support to help people make informed decisions about their health.
The program combined direct health services, prevention education, and culturally responsive outreach. Community members received reliable information about COVID-19 symptoms, prevention, testing, and vaccination in a setting where they could comfortably ask questions and discuss their concerns.

Community Partnerships and Outreach
Merced Lao Family worked with local health care providers and trusted community leaders to address misinformation and concerns related to COVID-19 testing and vaccines.
