Merced Lao Family Food Drive

In Partnership With the Merced County Food Bank

Our Food Drive was established in 2020, in partnership with the Merced County Food Bank. Our organizations share the same goal, which is to ensure food security for our community. We strive to help reduce the stress that comes from the scarcity of food and the fear of not being able to feed one's family. Our staff and volunteers from other organizations work together to provide this free service and open to the community. We serve an average amount of at least one thousand families or more per month.

Food Drive every other Thursday 9 am-12 pm at Merced Lao Family Community, Inc.
Access to fresh vegetables & fruits, refreshments and etc...
Items are given as is and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Need groceries? Merced Lao Family hosts a biweekly Thursday Food Drive at 1748 Miles Court, Suite B (Merced) with fresh items straight from the local food bank. Line up in the lot behind our building for a smooth drive-thru pick-up starting around 8:30–9:00 AM until 11:00-11:30 AM.

Upcoming food drives

Volunteer at Merced Lao Family Community, Inc. every Thursday from 9am-12pm to help distribute food boxes during our weekly food drive to local families in need. We also need additional volunteers during cultural events, dinner parties, and the Merced Hmong New Year. We also offer volunteer hours to students!
